Hosted in Whistler, BC, Networking DM 2016 aimed and succeeded in bringing together both suppliers and marketers from within the international direct marketing community, providing a forum for business meetings, educational opportunities, and social networking events.

Networking DM 2016’s well-attended round table discussions offered delegates the chance to share their questions, knowledge and experience on: multi-national marketing; using sweepstakes to add life to product promotions; driving website traffic and sales for e-commerce businesses; and important compliance and regulatory updates.

Feedback received from Networking DM attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. This is a unique event where attendees engage with each other without the distraction of tradeshow exhibitions and competing agendas. Hot topics of conversation between delegates this year were: international marketing; the evolution of global e-commerce; using European Fair Trading regulations as a global standard; and purchase, refund and service localization – how to offer customers a seamless ordering and customer service experience in multiple markets.

The social networking opportunities provided by organizers and sponsors of Networking DM were well-planned and provided welcome relief from busy meeting schedules. Delegates enjoyed the opportunity to break bread together on three nights: during a cocktail and buffet dinner reception at a lovely lake-side lodge; a networking dinner party at a fine-dining restaurant; and finally, a casual pub night. Those brave enough to face the heights also had opportunity to participate in Whistler’s famous mountain-to-mountain zip line adventure.

Sponsors of the networking events include: PacNet Services, DFO, Regency DM, Mail Order Solutions, and Trends.
